The 2022 annual URI Celebration: Rise Up! on October 19, was an uplifting virtual event filled with inspiring testimony from clients, partners, and staff united in Urban Resource Institute’s mission to end domestic violence, homelessness, poverty, and trauma. This year’s celebration highlighted the URI Economic Empowerment Program that transforms lives and gives clients a path to safe, stable futures.

We’re honored that the event was hosted by Emmy Award winning news anchor, talk show host and author, Cheryl Wills; with a keynote address from Tina Perry, president of the Oprah Winfrey Network; and extraordinary performances by Sing Harlem! URI also recognized Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson and former client, Kerry with two very meaningful awards.
