Nathaniel leads all aspects of URI’s operations, engagement and strategy. Nathaniel is an expert in the field of domestic violence services, and a thought leader with nearly 30 years of experience in human services organizations.
Vice President, Development & Communications
Shannon oversees URI’s fundraising, marketing, branding, and communications efforts. She brings to URI, a history of leading successful fundraising campaigns and extensive experience in the not-for- profit sphere.
Jae Young Kim
Supervising Attorney, LEAP (Legal Education and Advocacy Program)
Jae Young supervises all aspects of URI’s LEAP program. A passionate advocate for the underserved at URI’s shelters, she is bilingual in Spanish.
Chair, Board of Trustees
Whittaker’s activities bridge extensive community leadership and senior positions in operations and relationship management for more than 19 years, including at JP Morgan Chase.
Coordinator, PALS (People and Animals Living Safely Program)
Ann is an indispensable force at URI. Well-loved by both URI’s pet-clients and their people for her far-ranging knowledge of how to live together better, Ann has worked in the animal advocacy space for many years. Her work is specifically focused on URI’s unique PALS program.
Senior Vice President, Programs
Carla supervises all of URI’s programs and has in-depth knowledge of the administration of direct services. She also lectures at Saint John Fisher College and Columbia University in graduate and post-graduate leadership, diversity, and nonprofit organization management.
Senior Director, Domestic Violence Special Programs and Tier II Shelter
Abbie directs URI’s innovative People and Animals Living Safely (PALS) program and Working Internship Network (WIN). Her clinical experience and dedication to victims of domestic violence has provided her with hands-on understanding in the field of domestic violence services.
Vice President, Domestic Violence Programs
Jennifer leads URI’s domestic violence programs, overseeing all facilities, services, and staff. Her experience in law is indispensable in providing for the complex challenges domestic violence victims face.
Director, Marketing and Communications
Eseohe directs URI’s marketing and communications. A notable artist and poet, she brings award-winning creativity, trauma-informed philosophies and international experience to the work of engaging with URI’s staff, clients and supporters.
