This discussion will explore innovation in shelter design by examining Magnolia Gardens, a shelter development being completed in partnership between URI and AAFE that incorporates design elements that are at the same time beautiful, and trauma informed, culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, energy efficient, accessible to people of differing abilities and to people with pets.
