As a survivor of domestic violence and a former resident of Urban Resource Institute (URI) and the PALS program, Hope Dawson aims to share her story in order to bring awareness to the need for continued support for families in crisis, including their pets. Having experienced displacement with her two children and dog Coco, Hope utilizes trauma informed storytelling to inspire and motivate others to overcome adversity, transitioning through hardship to hope.
Today, Hope has written several poetry books, as well as, a memoir detailing her life experiences which she plans to publish in the near future. She has also launched a YouTube channel, HopeVictoria1V, where she encourages others to win at life one victory at a time. Through poetry, song, motivational minutes, and public speaking, Hope's message of perseverance and healing empowers her audience to embrace their own personal journey through adversity on the road to success.
