Safety, Support, and Self-Sufficiency
From the moment domestic violence victims and their families connect with URI, they receive a full spectrum of individualized assessment, counseling, and referral services designed to reduce their risks, address their unique circumstances, and formulate a plan that will help them and their children increase their safety and move forward with their lives.
We operate our own 24-hour emergency hotline and four shelters (three emergency shelters and one transitional shelter for those who need longer-term assistance) with separate apartment-style accommodations for individuals and families—a welcoming, secure, healing environment that helps victims and their children recover from trauma and abuse.
Placement in our emergency facilities is facilitated through our 24-hour hotline, staffed by caring professionals.
If you feel you are being abused, you are not alone.
