Urban Resource Institute Appoints Angel Guzman as Program Director

 

New York, NY (August 16, 2024) Urban Resource Institute (URI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Angel Guzman as the new Program Director at Family Pathways, one of our key facilities dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Angel steps into this role with a robust background in social services and mental health care, having most recently excelled as the Director of Clinical Services at URI.

Angel’s journey at URI has been marked by his profound commitment to enhancing the well-being of survivors and their families. Since his earlier tenure as a Recreation Specialist and then as a Housing Specialist and Case Manager, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead with compassion and expertise.

Lesley Samuel-Young, Vice President of Domestic Violence Residential Programs, expresses her confidence in his capabilities, stating, “Mr. Guzman’s deep understanding of the challenges faced by survivors of domestic violence and his innovative leadership make him an ideal choice for Program Director at Family Pathways. His appointment is a testament to URI’s commitment to advancing talented professionals who embody our mission and values.”

Angel will oversee the development and implementation of programs that prioritize safety, self-sufficiency, and therapeutic support for clients, managing everything from staff training to compliance with regulations. His leadership will ensure that Family Pathways continues to set a high standard in providing essential services to those in need.
