Urban Resource Institute Promotes Siobhan King to

Senior Director of Homeless Families Programs 

 

New York, NY (May 15, 2024) – Urban Resource Institute (URI), a leader in providing critical services and support to individuals and families affected by homelessness and survivors of domestic violence, is delighted to announce the promotion of Siobhan King to Senior Director of Homeless Families Program. Since joining URI in 2016 as a Case Manager, Siobhan has consistently demonstrated exemplary dedication and leadership, significantly impacting our mission to end homelessness. 

In her new role, Siobhan will lead the strategic and operational management of URI’s homeless families shelters in Brooklyn and Manhattan, ensuring the delivery of quality services that align with the best practices in the field. She will maintain and enhance collaborative relationships with both public and private sector partners, and lead the development and implementation of innovative program designs that include group activities and comprehensive support for homeless families.

Siobhan will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, maximizing bed utilization, and maintaining high standards of safety and security across all managed facilities. Her role includes the direct supervision and development of program staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high performance. 

Previously, Siobhan has made significant contributions as Director to the Pacific Place Homeless Family Shelter and has been a pivotal part of our leadership team across the Homeless Families Division. Her proactive and empathetic approach to program management and client services has led to measurable improvements in service delivery and client outcomes. 

Siobhan’s unwavering dedication to social service and her visionary leadership continue to inspire her team and make a profound impact on the community.
