Rebekkah Boxt

Rebekkah Boxt serves as Vice President of Development at Urban Resource Institute (URI), where she leads the organization’s comprehensive fundraising strategy to advance its mission of providing safety, stability, and support to survivors of domestic violence and families experiencing homelessness.

With more than 15 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit leadership, Rebekkah oversees URI’s development operations, including foundation and corporate partnerships, institutional giving, individual philanthropy, special events, donor stewardship, volunteer engagement, and grants management. As a member of URI’s Senior Management Team, she works collaboratively across the organization to strengthen philanthropic partnerships, expand private fundraising, and support the organization’s long-term strategic priorities.

Prior to joining URI, Rebekkah served as Senior Director of Development at The Century Foundation, where she led fundraising initiatives, cultivated institutional and individual donor relationships, and developed strategies that advanced the organization’s research and policy priorities. Throughout her career, she has successfully built comprehensive development strategies, secured significant philanthropic investments, and strengthened donor engagement across a range of nonprofit sectors. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to connecting supporters with opportunities to create lasting social impact.

Rebekkah earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, where she was a Magellan Scholar in Political Science, and holds a Master of Public Health from the CUNY School of Public Health and Health Policy.
