Ishi Sahni

Ishi Sahni is the Senior Vice President at Urban Resource Institute (URI), where she leads the organization’s revenue growth strategy and private fundraising efforts. She brings two decades of executive leadership experience building philanthropic partnerships, leading strategic fundraising, and revenue growth for mission-driven organizations. At URI, she works to scale private funding to strengthen partnerships that advance critical programs and policies supporting survivors and families, including innovative models like pet-inclusive shelters. Previously, Ishi served as Vice President of Development at The Century Foundation, where she built a fundraising department from the ground up and grew it into a $14 million operation, significantly expanding the organization’s influence, philanthropic capacity and partnerships.

Earlier in her career, Ishi served as Senior Director of Development at Planned Parenthood and held development leadership roles at StreetWise Partners, the Correctional Association of New York and GrowNYC, the organization behind more than 45 Greenmarkets across New York City, including the renowned Union Square Greenmarket.

Ishi has an innovative approach to fundraising and has built strategic partnerships to identify external and internal drivers, create organizational alignment and barriers, nurture strategic relationships, facilitate inter-organizational collaboration and consensus, and identify growth opportunities. She is passionate about advancing fundraising practices that elevate organizational voice, build authentic partnerships, and mobilize stakeholders around mission-driven change.
