Victims of domestic violence (DV), including those with pets, are particularly vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. As social distancing and staying at home is advised, abusive partners, who often isolate victims, may now add COVID-19 to the toolbox of tactics they use to maintain power and control over their partners. While individuals who are experiencing abuse are best positioned to know what is safe and feasible for them at any given time, the following reflect some safety tips that victims of intimate partner violence can consider:
