Deepal S. Chadha is Deputy General Counsel of Urban Resource Institute. In his role, he advises on matters of corporate governance, procurement, finance, real estate transactions and projects, and labor relations and employment. Deepal also provides counsel to senior management and staff on legal issues relating to programs, including legislative and regulatory issues affecting the organization’s delivery of services. He holds a BA in Mathematics from Cornell University and a JD from Fordham University School of Law, where he served on the Fordham Law Review and was Co-President of the South Asian Law Student Association. Prior to joining URI, Deepal was Assistant General Counsel of Safe Horizon, Inc., a leading victim assistance non-profit, where he served as Co-Chair of both the Anti-Racism Steering Committee Policy Subcommittee and the Persons of Color Leadership Affinity Group. Before joining Safe Horizon, he was an Associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP and served as an extern with Hon. Denny Chin, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York City.
