New York, NY | March 19, 2026 — Urban Resource Institute (URI) today announced the appointment of Karalin Sprague as Senior Director of Program Systems and Impact, a key leadership role advancing the organization’s commitment to data-informed, trauma-informed, and equity-driven services.
In this role, Sprague will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of URI’s program systems and impact measurement strategies. She will oversee the organization’s impact team, guide standardization efforts across programs, and strengthen URI’s case management systems to ensure service quality, data integrity, and meaningful outcomes for survivors and families.
“Karalin brings a rare combination of strategic insight, technical expertise, and deep commitment to equity,” said Tania Jospitre, Vice President of Evaluation and Social Impact. “Her leadership strengthens how we connect data, learning, and program delivery. She is helping to ensure that our systems not only measure impact, but actively improve the quality of care we provide every day.”
Sprague will work in partnership with program leadership, IT, and cross-functional teams to enhance URI’s case management system, align reporting and evaluation frameworks, and embed data-driven decision-making across the organization. Her work will also support internal evaluations, funder reporting, and the development of performance metrics that reflect URI’s Theory of Change.
“I’m honored to join URI in this role,” said Karalin Sprague, Senior Director of Program Systems and Impact. “At its best, data is not just about measurement. It is about learning, accountability, and ensuring that the voices and experiences of the communities we serve are reflected in how we design and deliver services. I’m excited to help build systems that support both our staff and the families we serve.”
Sprague brings more than 15 years of experience supporting mission-driven organizations in advancing social change through person-centered, data-informed, and equity-focused evaluation. Prior to joining URI, she served as Senior Director of Learning, Data, and Impact at SAGE, a national LGBTQ+ advocacy and services organization, where she built and led a department focused on evaluation, research, and organizational learning. She has also worked across domestic and international contexts, supporting survivors of gender-based violence, collaborating with women and girls in West Africa and Haiti, and advancing community-based initiatives for women living with HIV in New York.
She holds a BA in Sociology from American University and an MSW in Research and Organizational Development from Fordham University.
This appointment reflects URI’s continued investment in strengthening its systems, advancing evidence-informed practice, and ensuring that every program delivers measurable, meaningful impact for the communities it serves.
