July 6, 2026 | NEW YORK, NY – Urban Resource Institute (URI), the nation’s largest provider of domestic violence shelter services and a leading provider of services for families experiencing homelessness, is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Gough-Gordon as Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Brand. In this role, Elizabeth will lead the organization’s digital marketing and brand strategy, helping strengthen URI’s online presence, audience engagement, and mission-driven storytelling.
Elizabeth brings more than 15 years of experience leading marketing, branding, audience engagement, and digital strategy across nonprofit, healthcare, labor, and media organizations. Most recently, she served as Director of Audience Marketing at Haymarket Media, where she led audience growth, engagement, and subscription marketing across more than 20 digital properties. Prior to that, she held marketing leadership roles with 32BJ SEIU, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the New York Academy of Sciences, developing integrated marketing campaigns, strengthening organizational brands, and expanding audience engagement through digital, social, email, and paid media initiatives.
As Senior Director of Digital Marketing & Brand, Elizabeth will lead URI’s digital presence and brand strategy, overseeing the organization’s website, digital marketing initiatives, brand governance, user experience, and audience engagement. She will guide the evolution of URI’s digital ecosystem while partnering across departments to strengthen storytelling, expand visibility, and ensure the organization’s digital platforms support fundraising, advocacy, public awareness, recruitment, and access to services.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
