Support PALS (People and Animals Living Safely)

48% of domestic violence victims delay leaving abusive situations because they don’t want to leave their pet behind. In 2013, URI created PALS (People and Animals Living Safely) in response to the need for pet friendly shelters where people and their pets could heal in a safe environment together.

As of today, we have sheltered over 100 animals – cats, dogs, turtles, fish, guinea pigs and even a bearded dragon – thanks to supporters like you. Your domestic violence shelter donations and continued support will make it possible for other homeless families escaping abuse to find a safe haven at URI. Please donate today to expand the PALS (People and Animals Living Safely) program.
