Will assist the Director of Training in the design, implementation, and evaluation of training and education for all staff. Assist in identifying training and education needs across URI’s programs and business areas. Able to deliver effective training to improve job performance using modern learning formats including e-learning. Possess a dynamic classroom presence and ability to make content relevant to participants and keep participants engaged, focused, and on track with training goals. Will assist in developing training plans, instructor led training materials, online (eLearning) modules, Train-the-Trainer programs, scenario-based learning cases, and reference guides. In collaboration with the Director of Training, develop an annual training calendar and create a database to track training usage and participation. Assist with the measurement and evaluation of the impact of training on program staff. Must be able to travel to facilities or other sites. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Education, or Human Resources. 4 years of Learning and Development Training experience in a social service environment, non-profit organization preferred. 3+ years delivering training and authoring content to various audiences. Demonstrated sensitivity and experience with and/or knowledge of domestic violence within and against disenfranchised communities including individuals whom identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or HIV-affected, the elderly and individuals with mental health issues. Must relate well with all levels of staff with proven presentation and facilitation skills. Candidate must understand the principles of training and learning, and know how to apply them in a variety of situations. Must know how to evaluate training results and provide necessary follow-up. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills in communicating orally, and write clearly and concisely when communicating all information. Must be very organized and be able to effectively prioritize tasks to ensure their timely completion. Must be computer-literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and training tools.
