Nilsa Gomez is the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Urban Resource Institute, where she has worked for three years. In this role, she works closely with the CEO and executive team as an organizational change agent for achieving business goals. She oversees all aspects of human resources, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, benefits and compensation, training and development, performance management, employee relations, corporate policies, and HR-related administrative functions. Prior to joining URI, Ms. Gomez worked in human resources in a variety of leadership positions, including Director of HR and Business Partner at Marchon Eyewear, Director of Global HRIS at Merrill Lynch and Director of an HR & payroll service center. She received her Masters in Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. Ms. Gomez was drawn to URI because of its mission of helping the underserved and enjoys being engaged with such dedicated and intelligent colleagues.
