Provide clinical and administrative supervision of Child Care Workers, Recreation Specialists, Child Therapists and Interns. Provide supervision to Residential Specialists, in partnership with other senior program leaders and provide individual and group supervision to staff. Coordinate staff training, and other opportunities for the professional development of staff. Conduct mental health assessments for the children residing in shelter. Develop, monitor and facilitate groups for adults and children residing shelter. Assist with hotlines. Coordinate mental health/psychiatric care and referral and provide brief psychotherapy. Develop a network of appropriate resources, including community based organizations and social services providers. Monitor resident records for compliance and best practices, including regular review of progress notes and service plans and assist with reports and program evaluation. Address client complaints and conduct investigations. This position will have regular and substantial contact with children. Master’s Degree in Social Work and a LMSW and/or LCSW, and five years’ experience working with victims experiencing trauma, poverty, and/or homelessness and their dependent children as well as three years direct supervisory experience. Must be computer-literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and excellent written and oral communication skills.
