Reporting to the President & CEO, and serving as an integral member of the Senior team, the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for the development of URI’s marketing, communications and public relations strategy and goals that will contribute to URI’s organizational strategic operations. The SVP of Marketing & Communications will develop and design a world-class marketing and public communications plan, directly manage communications activities that enhance, promote and protect the organization’s brand and reputation. The SVP of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of marketing and public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization that expands URI’s reach, visibility and influence with its target audiences. Requirements: Masters’ degree in communications, journalism or related field and at least 10 years of senior communications and/or marketing experience; Minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated senior level experience and management in social services setting; a minimum of 5 years’ experience planning, writing, editing, and production of press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print publications and directories; Established experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic marketing and communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance the agency’s mission and goal; Robust project management skills and experience, specifically in projects requiring significant resources, cross-functional involvement with the ability to meet and organize multiple project deadlines in fast paced high energy working environment; Entrepreneurial mindset, approach and experience in order systematically and effectively strengthen the organization’s overall marketing, communications and fundraising capacity.
