Manage the day-to-day activities of department. Develop office procedures and practices and study workflow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to determine efficiency of new equipment systems or procedures. Design and update purchasing systems and procedures. Create vendor list for agency use. Select and recommend products for purchase after thorough testing. Prepare bid requests and review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Evaluate defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine cause and corrective action. Conduct organizational physical inventory. Bachelor’s Degree in business related area, eight to ten years of purchasing experience and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
