Program Director

Manage the day-to-day operation of a domestic violence or homeless shelter; oversee administering of client services; maintain compliance with city and state rules and regulations; develop collaborations with community organizations and government agencies; manage billing and program finances; hire, supervise and evaluate staff; represent URI at city and statewide coalitions and committees; assist with grant proposals, reports, and program evaluation. This position will have regular and substantial contact with children. Master’s Degree in Social Work and LMSW license required; LCSW license preferred. Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing a residential program; minimum five (5) years supervisory experience. Must be knowledgeable of domestic violence issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be computer-literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
