Must have strong experience to coordinate activities of direct report(s) engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll reports, maintaining payroll control records and calculating payroll. Discuss payroll discrepancies with Program Directors, review all payroll input transactions. Review payroll tax matters and approve the preparation and filing of tax returns. Prove out payroll register before issuance of checks, pay out voluntary deductions to vendors, and prepare worksheet for payroll audit. Supervise all payroll data for city, state and federal reporting. Prepare annual contributions and allocations for the Employee’s Retirement Pension Plan. For this role a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required with at least three (5) years payroll experience. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and advance level excel. Knowledge of federal, state and local governmental payroll tax regulations in multi-state environment.
