Objectively investigate all alleged violations of corporate policy, procedures, regulations and /or contractual requirements and reportable incidents of abuse and neglect, significant incidents, and serious and minor occurrences in our DD residential programs. Produce factual reports for use by program management, human resources and other stakeholders; and advise program staff on incident policy and procedures.
Keep abreast of updated Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Justice Center and ancillary regulatory policies that influence investigations. Oversee internal investigation system and ensures compliance in accordance with requirements of external funding sources. Manage and follow-up on identified audit citations and/or recommendations. Coordinate and co-facilitate staff trainings as appropriate for incident management to ensure compliance. Perform internal audits and case reviews. Perform semi –annual reviews of petty cash, person served personal accounts and clothing allowances and Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) usage. Conduct unannounced fire drills across all shifts and programs. This position has the potential for regular and substantial contact with children. BS in a human services or health administration; Master’s Degree preferred, with at least 5 years of progressive QI, Compliance or Program Management experience in a residential setting. Must hold OPWDD approved Incident Investigator Certification.
